Almost Easter...time flies!

Well, here it is...almost Easter/Spring Break time. The weather keeps playing tricks on us. Warm, cold. Cold, warm. This weekend, we are possibly going to see 80*. That will be good. Hannah has been showing signs of wanting to go outside. On the few warm days we have had, she has spent much time on her trampoline and searching the backyard. (That reminds me that I have to fertalize the grass, etc. The lawn took a beating last year and I would like it to be as soft as possible for Hannah.)
Hannah has also been going for short walks to the mailbox w/us. She enjoys the outdoors in limited visits.
Hannah has been doing well in school. We are also scheduling some Dr. visits this spring. We will be getting a BAER test done. The BAER test (also known as the brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) or brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP)) detects electrical activity in the cochlea and auditory pathways in the brain in much the same way that an antenna detects radio or TV signals or an EKG detects electrical activity of the heart. Basically, they see how her brain reacts to sound.Since Hannah can not communicate well, and would be unable to communicate with us on how well she hears something, they will sedate her (General anesthesia). Remember, she does have some limited hearing in one ear. Hopefully, this test will give us a better idea of what level she is hearing at.
